Fitness & Nutrition

The core refers to the inner abdominal and back muscles responsible for stabilizing the spine. Core strength is amount of force that can be exerted by the core muscles described above. Core stability is the ability of these muscles to support the body in all motor patterns. The core muscles of the deep abdominal and lumbar spinal region work together like a corset around the spine. A high level of core strength and core stability enables players to more efficiently control their  upper and lower body muscles.

Exercising on the stability ball helps to develop and strengthen the core muscles in order to better control body movement.

In addition to following a well-planned and organised physical fitness program, it is widely recognised that nutrition is vital to successful training and performance.

An athlete's (for that's what you are) diet should provide the energy required during exercise, and the necessary nutrients for tissue growth and repair and those needed to keep the human body functioning at its optimal level. There are six nutrient groups that form the basis of a well-balanced diet. Carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals and Water.
